At Golfbreaks, we aim to give you the chance to enjoy fantastic golf courses and luxurious accommodations at brilliant value for money. With that in mind, Golfbreaks recommends Delta Hotels by Marriott Country Clubs, the industry leader in hospitality - with more than 500 hotels worldwide, Marriott is truly committed to delivering the very best of visitor experiences.
If you’re a golfer hunting down approachable, accessible luxury, then the selection on offer from Marriott must be considered. Take a look at some of our favourites below!
Breadsall Priory is encompassed by the rolling hills of the Derbyshire countryside, and the residence dates back to the 13th century. It is the oldest Delta Hotel by Marriott in the world and has a very rich history. From the moment guests arrive at Breadsall Priory they are treated to a wonderful trip. Quality of service is at the forefront of the venue’s values, and the on-site spa and leisure facilities simply complement the already high-quality experience.
The venue offers golfers the chance to take in this historic splendour, in addition to an enjoyable yet challenging golf course. The well-renowned parkland layout, Priory Course, can play tough but is a varied and enjoyable experience. In contrast, the Moorland Course is a very different test of golf, with wide and open fairways which are exposed to the elements. Both courses are playable all year round, with extremely well-manicured fairways and lush, true greens.
Finally, Breadsall Priory is found on the edge of the gorgeous Peak District, so guests have plenty to explore outside of the resort.
“Breadsall Priory must be one of my favourite two course venues in the UK. The beautiful four-star hotel is steeped in history and set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. With two championship golf courses, great food, a selection of bars and spa facilities to enjoy post-round, this really is the perfect option for those seeking a relaxing and stress-free break!” ~ Mark Jenkins (Head of UK & Ireland Sales)
Right in the heart of the “Garden of England”, Tudor Park is a comfortable, enjoyable golfing experience. The venue offers a well-equipped and spacious hotel, an indoor pool and a relaxing spa. Additionally, the Zest Bar is the perfect place to retire to after a round of golf, with a wide selection of drinks and food.
The course itself is a challenging parkland track, designed by the legendary Donald Steel. It may be short, but it still has a host of testing features, with tight treelined fairways, fast undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers.
“Tudor Park is an elegant countryside resort with excellent on-site facilities. The course is a great test of golf and the local town of Maidstone is great for a night out.” ~ Callum Harris (UK Sales Consultant)
Surrounded by 400 acres of picturesque Monmouthshire countryside, the 14th century manor house at St Pierre is frankly incredible. It is surrounded by natural beauty, with the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean on its doorstep and offering a serene location for a golf trip. The resort offers contemporarily designed accommodation, a spa, tennis courts, and a fitness club, so that guests can always find somewhere to relax.
In addition, Delta Hotels by Marriott, St Pierre Country Club offers two fantastic golf courses. The Old Course and the Mathern Course are both very enjoyable to play. The Mathern is the shorter of the two and was re-modelled in 2007 to improve its design and playability. Meanwhile, the Old Course is a 7,000-yard championship course that is renowned as being one of the world’s best courses.
Overall, St Pierre is the epitome of golfing luxury in the UK and is not to be missed for those hunting for a high-end experience.
“With a fantastic four-star hotel and two golf courses, St Pierre is amongst the premier stay and play golf hotels in the UK. The historic Old Course is one of the best resort courses around, having played host to the Solheim Cup and EuroPro Tour events, along with many other tournaments. This is perfectly complemented by the more forgiving Mathern Course, which winds around the peaceful hills of Monmouthshire.” ~ Danny Phipps (UK Groups Consultant)
Hanbury Manor is a luxurious hotel that offers wonderful accommodation in a stunning country setting. It is one of London’s favourite hotels, with brilliant service at all times and fantastic facilities. A great selection of dining and drinking options are on offer at Hanbury Manor; the Cast Iron Grill has a light, airy setting, and the Oak Hall & Cocktail Bar is located in a warm, cosy setting. In addition, Vardon’s Bar is a lively place to enjoy watching live sport and sipping a few cold beverages.

Finally, for those looking to relax before or after a round, Hanbury Manor offers a spa, a Romanesque pool, sauna, and much more.
“Hanbury Manor is arguably the jewel in the Marriott Golf Resort’s crown. The Jacobean-style Manor House Hotel, full spa and leisure facilities, and an idyllic setting in the Hertfordshire countryside, all contribute to the five-star premium level of stay Hanbury Manor provides. Also boasting a European Tour golf course, Hanbury Manor provides the perfect opportunity to walk in the footsteps of your favourite touring professionals whilst enjoying the tranquillity of the rolling fields of Hertfordshire.
