Turkey is a fantastic country for golf, in particular the popular resort town of Belek. Known as Turkey’s golfing capital, Belek boats more than a dozen fantastic golf courses along a beautiful stretch of coastline.
The destination has played host to some of the world’s best golfers at the famous Turkish Airlines Open on both the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour, as well as The Turkish Airlines World Golf Final.
From the undulating landscape and sleeper-faced bunkers of Lykia Links to the immaculate fairways and lightning-fast greens of PGA Sultan, Belek is undoubtedly a paradise and is one of the best golf destinations in Europe.

In terms of climate, the best time to travel is Spring (March-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov), although in September and October you should be aware of the maintenance schedules of the courses to avoid closures and buggy bans.
Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course
A great time to play golf, and to take advantage of low-priced deals, is from late November to February. While it may not be sunbathing weather, temperatures are more than adequate to enjoy amazing prices available in these months.
Some courses may require an official handicap to play in Turkey, however, this varies from course to course. We would suggest consulting your Golf Travel Expert at the time of booking your holiday.

Additionally, National Golf Club has hosted the Ladies Turkish Airlines Open, and the PGA Sultan Course (Antalya Golf Club) has hosted the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final.
