We love all-inclusive packages here at Golfbreaks. They’re immensely popular with our customers and take the stress out of finding bars and restaurants for the evening after a day on the course. However, with golfers generally away from the hotel for large parts of the day, many of our resorts have begun to craft the ideal offering for our clients – introducing semi all-inclusive!

What is semi all-inclusive?

Semi all-inclusive packages generally provide you with both breakfast and dinner, as well as evening drinks between a set time-frame; usually in the region of 5pm-midnight, although it will vary from hotel to hotel.

As a result, golfers are able to load up in the morning before their round, perhaps grabbing a sandwich at the course, before heading back to the hotel in the evening where a delicious meal will be waiting. Why pay for a break that includes lunch if you’re going to be out on the course each day?

The drinks included will typically include local beers and spirits, house wines, soft drinks, as well as tea & coffee, although some of our venues will also include cocktails too. So, if you’re looking to maximise the value from your break, but still want the convenience of having everything you need included within your golf holiday, why not check out some of our favourite semi all-inclusive destinations for your next trip below!

Popular semi all-inclusive golf resorts

Precise Resort El Rompido

Five-star luxury on the Costa de la Luz, the Precise Resort El Rompido has long been a customer favourite, with two 18-hole golf courses on-site. Due to its location in the south-west of the country, guests can fly into either Seville, or Faro (just across the border in Portugal), giving plenty of options from across the UK. There’s a choice of restaurants, as well as the Son Saura Terrace bar, and even an on-site night club for those with a later tee-time booked for the next day…

NAU Morgado Golf Resort

A chilled-out vibe encompasses the NAU Morgado Golf & Country Club, with a backdrop of the Monchique Mountains, and a hotel surrounded by landscaped gardens. The local towns of Monchique, Portimao and Alvor, all provide excellent options for local exploration on a day away from the golf course, particularly if you’re looking to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime on your semi all-inclusive golf break.

Barcelo Montecastillo

Another five-star destination on the Costa de la Luz, and another stunning choice for a semi all-inclusive trip. The Andalusian-styled Barcelo Montecastillo hotel is the perfect base for your trip, with the resort also home to several restaurants to enjoy throughout your stay.

The resort benefits from the on-site Jack Nicklaus-designed Montecastillo Golf Course, which has been a previous host of the Volvo Masters on the European Tour, and is constantly ranked amongst the best in Spain.

Sao Rafael Atlantic Hotel

Just a short drive from the centre of Albufeira, the Sao Rafael Atlantic Hotel provides easy access to some of the Algarve’s best golf courses, whilst also benefitting from a peaceful and tranquil setting. The hotel itself has three restaurants and four bars to help add some variety to your semi all-inclusive stay, with several pools to lay by once the golf is done for the day!

The Salgados & Alamos golf courses are the closest two layouts to the hotel, with the much-loved Amendoeira pair of the Faldo and O’Connor nearby, again aiding variety for golfers wanting to take in multiple courses on their trip.

DoubleTree by Hilton La Torre

Add a little luxury to your next break with a stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton La Torre. A mixture of indoor and outdoor pools, 133 spacious rooms, a choice of high-end spa treatments, and even an on-property golf course makes for a fantastic option for your golfing getaway.

DoubleTree by Hilton La Torre Golf

The La Torre golf course boasts some great practice facilities, making this hugely appealing for golfers looking to improve their game whilst away, and at just under 6,000 yards it offers a stern test whilst still being more than playable for all visitors.

Hotel Isla Canela Golf

The Hotel Isla Canela Golf is a perfect retreat to enjoy a low-stress trip, located just across the border from Portugal. There are two nearby golf courses; the on-site Isla Canela Old Course and the Valle Guadiana Links.

The two layouts offer different experiences, with the tree-lined parkland nature of the Old Course contrasting nicely against the more open nature of the links. Guests enjoy free shuttles to the Valle Guadiana links from the hotel, allowing golfers to mix rounds between the two courses as they please.

Barcelo Costa Ballena Golf & Spa

The four-star Barcelo Costa Ballena Golf & Spa is another Andalusian-style hotel with 228 rooms, and an excellent beachfront location. In addition to easy access to the beach, the hotel boasts both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a wellness spa for guests to kick back and relax after their round.

The on-site José Maria Olazabal-designed layout provides a great test of golf, with 27-holes allowing for differing routings to be played at Costa Ballena Golf Club throughout your semi all-inclusive golf holiday.

Elba Costa Ballena Hotel

Sharing access to the Ocean Golf Course at Costa Ballena Golf and the Sherry Golf Jerez, the Elba Costa Ballena Hotel is the final semi all-inclusive offering in our list, and another situated on the Costa de la Luz. There’s a mix of hotel rooms to cater for groups of all sizes with some fantastic value to be had, particularly for those travelling outside of the most popular weeks in mid-summer.
