Sneaking a premium tee-time
With the most sought-after tee-times often booked up well in advance, we’d always advise getting a trip that was dependent on a set date pencilled in early – particularly if you’re travelling with a larger group. However, people’s plans can change and occasionally our venues end up with availability for previously-booked slots without much notice. This is where a last-minute holiday can really come into its own! If you’re flexible on dates and venues, our sales agents may be able to find you the ideal, formerly unavailable gap to squeeze into!
See the sights
We’ve got 100’s of breaks within short distances of major city centres. Why not tie in your last-minute break with some shopping around the Bullring in Birmingham or by taking in a gig in Nottingham? Or even pairing your break with a football match around Liverpool, Manchester or Leeds!
For those looking for a more chilled break, we offer a wide selection of venues on the coast. One of our favourite spots for a spontaneous last-minute getaway is Bournemouth. You can play some of the country’s finest heathland golf courses, all from a base in Bournemouth itself, from which you can also explore one of the UK’s finest coastlines and beaches.
Midweek madness
If you are using up some work holiday, then be sure to check out our midweek offers. Our best prices are often between Tuesday-Thursday, and it’s not uncommon to be able to upgrade either your room or your course for significantly less than the same break at the weekend. We’ve got our own midweek page on the site which houses some of our best offers, but as always, if you’re looking for further advice, speak to one of our sales team today!
See the sites (see what we did there?)
For those looking to tick off a course from their bucket list, we also offer trips to the host sites of many of golf’s biggest events. You can take in one of the Open Venues such as Royal Birkdale, Royal Liverpool, Royal Lytham or Carnoustie or even a European Tour destination such as Forest of Arden, Hanbury Manor or Slaley Hall.
Why not try out previous Ryder Cup host properties like Gleneagles, The Belfry or try The Brabazon Course at Celtic Manor. For something a little bit special, hop on the Eurostar one morning and play Le Golf National in France the same afternoon, host of Europe’s triumphant 2016 win over the USA!
Work holiday to burn?
One of the best excuses for taking a golf trip is to burn up some unused work holiday. There’s nothing worse than getting to the end of the year, only to see these go to waste! Why not take a day or two for yourself and get out on the course? Holiday is there to be used and is essential to a healthy work-life balance …. and let’s be honest, what better way is there to use up some days?!
