Where is Butterfield Bermuda Championship held?
Port Royal Golf Course, host to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, is widely considered one of the top tracks in Bermuda. It is not only renowned for its breathtaking seaside location, but also its challenging layout. Perched on the island's picturesque south shore, this 18-hole championship course offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from every hole.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the enjoyable layout and pristine condition comes as no surprise. The course combines natural beauty with strategic design, testing golfers of all levels. The signature 16th hole, aptly named "Cliffs," demands precise shots over the ocean with dramatic scenery to match, guaranteed to add an exhilarating touch to the tournament.

Port Royal Golf Course As with Mid Ocean, Port Royal Golf Course offers a privileged setting overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and is the most popular course on the island. Robert Trent Jones Snr built the course on high land and made full use of the natural topography at his disposal. The 16th hole, a daunting 230-yard par 3, is one of the most photographed holes in golf thanks to its dramatic clifftop tee box and green.
Belmont Hills Golf Club Located more centrally sits the iconic Belmont Hills Golf Club. What was once a straightforward and flat layout has been transformed into one of the most exciting challenges on the island. A significant redesign by Algie Pulley brought Belmont more in keeping with the modern game, with rippled fairways, multi-tiered greens, and plenty of water hazards. History of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship
In 2019 the Butterfield Bermuda Championship debuted for the first time, becoming a significant event on the PGA Tour calendar.
