Laranjal Course overview
Although a relatively young course being opened in 2009, the Laranjal Course at Quinta do Lago has quickly become recognised as one of continental Europe’s top golf courses. Measuring 6,480 metres in length the Laranjal Course is a demanding challenge which requires golfers to maintain accuracy and concentration off the tee, while also remaining focussed on its notoriously fast greens. The Laranjal is also well-known for its beautiful surroundings which include five lakes, umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees.
Signature Holes
The signature hole at Laranjal is either the par 3, 11th or the par 5, 16th.
The 11th measures at 180 yards and has a huge lake to the right and a 'beach bunker' that runs alongside, making the tee shot fairly intimidating to all levels of golfer.
The 16th is 544 yards and a double dogleg, with water crossing the hole twice. Even if you do choose to lay up, the third shot to the green is not an easy one.
