Slick Rock Golf Course
at Horseshoe Bay Resort
Austin, USA
Slick Rock Golf Course Overview
Built-in 1971, the par 72 Slick Rock Golf Course at the Horseshoe Bay Resort spans across 170 acres of land in one of Austin’s most scenic locations. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones and with a renovation in 2016, it is easy to see why Golf Magazine named Horseshoe Bay “one of America’s best golf resorts”.
The course has 71 sand traps and 12 water hazards, creating a classic Robert Trent Jones design of “hard par, easy bogey.” However, with a large range of tee boxes, players of all abilities can enjoy this stunning Austin course. Golfers still need to be careful not to get distracted by the “Million Dollar Hole” par-4 14th – the signature on Slick Rock and a great photo opportunity!
Signature Holes
The “Million Dollar Hole” par-4 14th on Slick Rock is a great photo opportunity! The tee-shot plays across a winding, waterfall-walled bridge. Followed by a cart ride across the water feature.
