Did You Know
The 18th hole on the Links Course was originally a par-5 when the course was first built in 1980. However, battling with the elements for a number of years, erosion and changing tidal movements took their toll on this piece of the land and it now plays as a challenging par-3.
Our View
The finish on the Links Course is stunning; 16, 17 and 18 must be the signature holes at Wild Dunes. The 16th is a par-3, the teeing area is set in the marshland and you play to a small green with the ocean in the distance. 17 (a par-4) and 18 (a par-3) run along the side of the Atlantic Ocean – a breath-taking finish.
Golf courses at Wild Dunes Resort
Harbor Course
One of two great courses at Wild Dunes Resort, the Harbor Course is the tighter of the two and is regarded as one of the tighter layouts around Charleston. This Tom Fazio design runs through stunning lagoons and marshes, making it quite a test to golfers. Although it only measures around 6,300 yards don't let the distance fool you, accuracy is key throughout the course.
Links Course
The Links Course at Wild Dunes Resort is situated on the Isle of Palms, just outside historic Charleston, SC. This beautiful par-70 links-style course plays 6503 yards from the back tees with four tee boxes available. Tight fairways are surrounded by palm trees and waste areas and players will have to contend with water hazards and an unpredictable coastal breeze throughout the round. The scenic Links Course features dramatic closing holes that run right along the Atlantic Ocean.
