Punta Espada Golf Club opened in 2006, the par-72 championship golf course is the first of three Jack Nicklaus Signature courses to be developed at Cap Cana. It has been consistently ranked as one of the top Caribbean courses at the moment, and has been ranked by Planet Golf Magazine as the 46th best course outside the United States. What makes this golf course special are the amazing views of the Caribbean, emerald fairways and perfect greens, with eight of its holes playing along and over the sea.
The course can be considered to have two signature holes. The 13th, a 250 yard, par-3 over the turquoise coloured waters of the Caribbean, and the spectacular 17th hole, just a feast for the eyes. If you're playing golf in the Dominican Republic, this is an absolute must-play.
