Golf Courses
Ballyliffin Golf Club is arguably the finest 36-hole links complex in the whole of Ireland, with two championship standard courses.
On the other side of Lough Swilly is Portsalon and also Rosapenna Golf Resort, which also has two fantastic links courses onsite. Just over an hour’s drive across the border into Northern Ireland is Castlerock, then Portstewart and then Royal Portrush. There is no shortage of incredible links golf in this spectacular region.

This luxury 4-star hotel is located in the heart of Ballyliffin, which is a village on the Inishowen Peninsula in the very north of Ireland. International access is best through Belfast, which is less than 2 hours away. Alternatively, a connecting flight into Derry Airport will leave you a 45-minute drive to Ballyliffin.
On Site Activities
Besides golf and spa, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in this beautiful northernmost part of Ireland. The long stretches of golden sandy beaches are great for walks, surfing and horse riding, whilst the Inishowen Peninsula is surrounded by many ship-wrecks and therefore a fantastic dive spot.
For the history-buffs, a visit to Doagh Famine Village will give you a fascinating insight into the Penal Times and famine years in Ireland. This is also a great spot from which to observe one of the world’s great solar phenomenons – The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis.
