Founded in 1887 and originally an Archie Simpson design, the course has been touched by many great architects with Old Tom Morris, James Braid, Ben Sayers and finally C.K. Cotton all playing their part in creating today’s masterpiece.

Nairn Golf Course overview
One of the must-play courses in the Scottish Highlands, Nairn is a fantastic links with fast narrow fairways that are framed by gorse bushes and heather. Known for having excellent greens that are fast and true, some of which are raised and others in hollows, Nairn’s first seven holes play along the Moray Firth with outstanding views.
A par-71 and just over 6800 yards off the tips, it is not length but extremely tricky greens that will challenge you and keep you guessing. Nairn is always in immaculate condition and is consistently ranked top 20 in Scotland and amongst the top 60 courses across the British Isles.
Signature Holes
The par-3 14th hole plays from the highest point on the course and has spectacular views over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle and beyond. 219-yards off the tips requiring anything from a long iron to a driver, normally in a crosswind to a green that has a large gully running through it. Three or four putts are common here.
