Oyster Reef Golf Course overview
Oyster Reef Golf Club opened in 1982 and was designed by Rees Jones. The layout features several doglegs, elevated tees, and fairways lined with thick oak and pine trees. Multi-tiered greens that are guarded by well-positioned bunkers demand accuracy on approach shots.
The course is set among 190 acres of Lowcountry terrain and winds through lagoons and dense foliage, offering picturesque views throughout the round. With yardages ranging from 7018 yards from the back tees to 5288 yards from the forward tees and two more sets in between, Oyster Reef Golf Club is playable by all levels.
Signature Holes
The par-3 6th hole at Oyster Reef Golf Club plays 197 yards from the championship tees and offers beautiful views of the Port Royal Sound. The green is shallow and slopes away to the right and is also guarded in front by a deep bunker. Selecting enough club here is vital as well as considering the breeze blowing in from the sound.
