Restaurant & Bars
The visits of Charlie Chaplin and his family to the Butler Arms in the 1950s and 60s has left an indelible mark. Charlie’s Restaurant specialises in local seafood complemented by an excellent wine list, and the Chaplin Lounge (Conservatory) is like a private dining area in a relaxed seafront room with spectacular views over Ballinskelligs Bay.
Pictures of the famous silent-movie actor adorn the walls. Also onsite is the traditional Fisherman’s Public Bar and newly opened Fisherman’s Store, which operates as a coffee shop and artisan store.
Location
Situated on the seafront in Waterville Village with beautiful views of Ballinskelligs Bay, the Butler Arms Hotel is just over a mile from Waterville Golf Links on Ireland’s majestic southwest coast. Best international access is via either Cork or Shannon airports which are 2.5-3hrs away. The famous town of Killarney is an hour away.
