Mahony's Point Course overview
Mahony’s Point is an enjoyable layout that provides golfers with more accessible fairways and greens when compared with the Killeen Course. With incredible vistas throughout the round, it can be enjoyed even if you are not playing particularly well. The par-72 is 6780-yards from the back tees meaning it plays shorter than its neighbor but certainly will require golfers to hit some longer approaches.
The orientation of the course means you are often inland amongst the trees however there are some strategically positioned creeks on the course that need to be avoided. The final three holes are particularly memorable, playing alongside Loch Leane which culminates in a great closing hole, a short par-3 over the water towards the clubhouse with views in all directions.
Did You Know?
From the golf course you can see Carrauntoohil – Ireland’s highest mountain.
