Sun Mountain Course

Las Vegas, USA
Sun Mountain Course overview
Sun Mountain was designed by Pete Dye in 1996 and has become a favorite among guests since its inception. Lauded for its playability, Sun Mountain measures 7112 yards from the tournament tees with five tee boxes to select from.
Beautiful rolling fairways and well-maintained greens are a given at all Paiute Resort courses and Sun Mountain is no exception. Dye incorporated fescue rough into the course design to penalize stray tee shots but it is the desert wind that protects this course the most. Sun Mountain utilizes the natural landscape well and each hole is seemingly separate from the other, giving players a sense of isolation.
Signature Holes
Sun Mountain’s signature hole is the par-4 6th. At 436 yards from the back tees, this beautiful hole has everything. A daunting tee shot over the desert waste area leads to a difficult approach to an undulating green. Both fairway and greenside bunkers feature Dye’s classic railroad-ties. The backdrop of this whole is exceptional as players will be treated to views of the surrounding mountains.
