Quivira Golf Club
Cabo, Mexico
Quivira Golf Club overview
Located between the 1st tee and 18th green is the highly impressive, multi-storey, thatched roof clubhouse at Quivira Golf Club. A beach-front setting, it is just a short distance from the breaking waves of the Pacific Ocean. The Quivira Steakhouse and 19th Hole Bar are both great choices to relax with your playing partners pre- or post-round. Enjoy the ocean views from the terrace with a Quivira signature cocktail or local beer in hand.
Situated next to the clubhouse is the double-ended practice facility that runs parallel to the ocean. With the beach just a wedge shot away, there is no finer place to work on your game.
Quivira Golf Course overview
Voted one of the World’s 100 Greatest Courses by Golf Digest, the course at Quivira Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design. Opening in 2014 it quickly gathered huge acclaim and praise. The setting is nothing short of sensational. Stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, desert cliffs, breath-taking drops from tee to fairway and white sand beaches all play their part. And the integration of these three terrains into the layout off the golf course makes this venue a Nicklaus-masterpiece.
The variety in landscape on each hole, from cacti and arroyos to dunes and cliffs, is unrivalled, resulting in 18 unique and scenic challenges. The layout starts near the beach within earshot of the pounding surf before climbing to higher ground. Having been built into the side of granite cliffs, the massive windswept dunes, rolling desert foothills, and jagged coastline offer an authentic experience that endears to all visitors.
With more oceanfront exposure than any other course in Los Cabos, multiple sets of forward tees were created to enhance playability. The lush green fairways, contrasting with the mountain-like surroundings, show The Golden Bear’s knack for utilizing the native topography both as an untameable enemy and a visual icon.
As you make your way around this stunning golf course, you will enjoy three comfort stations offering anything from Quesadillas to mini tacos, and a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages – all included in the green fee!
Note: To play the Quivira Course you must be a resident at one of the Pueblo Bonito Resorts in Los Cabos.
Signature Holes
It’s hard to pick one out at Quivira, however, the par-4 5th hole is often the most memorable. The tee box is perched on top of the granite cliffs some 275 feet above the ocean. It’s a short par-4, and for some a chance to be bold and go for the green that hangs on the side of a cliff 106 feet below the tee box and 310 yards across the Pacific Ocean.
