Golf Course Overview
The three distinct nine-hole courses at Bay Harbor allow golfers to play three different 18-hole combinations: Links/Quarry, Quarry/Preserve, and Preserve/Links.
The Links course reflects a Scottish-style seaside layout that runs along the bluffs of Lake Michigan, offering dramatic views of the water, rolling fairways, and deep bunkering.
The 9-holes on The Quarry course have been carved through an abandoned limestone quarry. Rugged rock formations, numerous lakes and cliffside creating an unforgettable test of accuracy.
The Preserve – A woodland-style course winding through dense hardwood forests, wetlands, and natural dunes, offering a more traditional Northern Michigan golf experience. Each course offers five sets of tees, allowing golfers of all abilities to enjoy the challenge while adjusting for difficulty. From the back tees, the total length varies:
Links/Quarry – 6,927 yards Quarry/Preserve – 6,945 yards Preserve/Links – 6,808 yards
Designed by Arthur Hills, Bay Harbor’s courses are a masterpiece of golf architecture, seamlessly blending the natural landscape with strategic playability. Generous fairways, well-placed bunkers, and fast, undulating greens reward precision and thoughtful course management.
