Overview
Opened in 1964, this course has become a true masterpiece over the years, having been described as Jamaica’s Augusta, due to its immaculate fairways and peaceful natural setting. As one of the best walking courses in the Caribbean, it offers golfers a wonderful round of golf. The course winds through lush tropical landscape, lined with royal palm trees, where golfers can enjoy the test of well-placed bunkers and large undulating greens.

PGA tournaments have been held at Half Moon, including the European PGA Senior Tour and, since 2007, the Jamaica Open.
International golf tournaments held include the Jamaica Open Golf Championship in 1975, 1990, 1991, 2006–2012, 2017, the Celebrity Players Tour Jamaica Classic in 2003–2005, the European PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003–2004, the National Match Play Tournament Finals in 2003–2005, the Dunhill Cup Final of the Americas, the JACI Golf Tournament, and the Red Stripe Pro-Am.
