Spyglass Hill Golf Course

Spyglass Hill® Golf Course is located at Pebble Beach Resorts® in Monterey, California. This fabulous par-72 California-links style course is one of the greatest in the country and provides guests with an incredible experience.

Practice facilities onsite include a driving range and putting green, and players can also visit the pro shop for a wide variety of merchandise.

'Spyglass Hill Grill’ is onsite and is a great option for before, during or after your round. The Grill’s central location is perfect and offers guests a view of the 9th green, a hole named ‘Captain Smollett.’

Spyglass Hill Golf Course overview

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1966, Spyglass Hill Golf Course immediately became one of the finest public golf courses in the country. Located at Pebble Beach Golf Resort, Spyglass measures just over 6900 yards and has 4 tee boxes available. This difficult course features challenging doglegs, sloping fairways, and big, undulating greens. Golfers need to be prepared upon their arrival as the first five holes play right along the Pacific Ocean.

The final 13 holes meander through the gorgeous Del Monte Forest and provide an incredible atmosphere. Spyglass Hill is the annual co-host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and has been played by the world’s best. Nicknamed the ‘Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees,’ Spyglass has earned its prestigious reputation over the years.

Signature Holes

The signature hole at Spyglass Hill Golf Course is the par-4 4th. Playing only 370 yards from the back tees, the 4th is one of the finest short par-4s in the world. The primary feature of this hole is the 50-yard deep, skinny green that sits in between sand dunes and ice plant. The fairway tightens as you approach this famous green and once players are there, they can take in the incredible surroundings this venue has to offer.
