Gold Course overview
Onsite at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples is Tiburon Golf Club, which has two excellent Greg Norman Championship golf courses. The Gold Course, which opened in 1998 and is just under 7400 yards off the tips, plays annual host to the PGA TOUR’s QBE Shootout (formerly called the Shark Shootout).
There are plenty of tee boxes to choose from and the fairways are generous, so although a par-72 with a slope of 137 and rating of 76 off the back tees, it is a very playable golf course for all levels of golfer. Being a Troon Golf run property, it is always in immaculate condition, and with large fast greens be sure to bring your putting game. The 27,000 sq ft clubhouse is also pretty impressive.
Signature Holes
The 16th is a magnificent par-3 measuring 205 yards off the tips. It’s nestled back in the woods with water in front of the green, which is surrounded by bunkers. An accurate tee shot is critical.
