The hotel offers a traditional and classy layout, with a choice of deluxe hotel rooms to 3 bedroom suites and villas. With four excellent restaurants to choose from and a wonderful spa to take advantage of, the resort offers guests a complete experience. Combine the magnificent golf courses with multiple other activities that are available and you’ll be sure to have a fun, action-packed vacation.
Golf Courses
The onsite El Campeón and Las Colinas golf courses are simply two of the best courses in central Florida. Both feature stunning landscape and wildlife as well as topography changes atypical for Florida. Water is a prominent feature on both courses and despite being in a resort, there is a peaceful absence of houses along with the courses, a welcome surprise for many.
Accommodation
As a small, family-owned and operated resort, Mission Resort + Club prides itself on being able to offer something for everyone. From deluxe hotel rooms to two- and three-bedroom suites and even villas, everyone from couples to large groups of friends will be able to find what they are looking for.
The deluxe hotel rooms and suites offer scenic views overlooking the golf course, tennis courts, or lakes and you can enjoy this from the comfort of your screened-in balcony. The rooms feature marble and granite bathrooms and comfortable king or two double beds. The rooms are also located just a short walk from the pool and numerous restaurants.
The private villas offer a “home away from home” feel with your own living room, kitchen, dining room, screened balcony and two or three bedrooms.
Restaurant & Bars
With four restaurants and two lounges on-site, you’ll never have to leave the resort to eat if you don’t want to. Start your day with a healthy and filling meal at their popular breakfast buffet at La Hacienda. After your round, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cold drink at the Nicker’s Clubhouse Restaurant located next to the golf shop. The El Conquistador Restaurant is the best place to enjoy a delicious dinner, while La Margarita is open late for any of your late-night cravings; sit at the bar and enjoy a game on the big screen TV with your friends.
Spa & Leisure
Relax and unwind at the Spa Marbella with their luxurious selection of massages, facials and body treatments. Treat yourself to their special massage geared towards golfers, specifically designed to massage and stretch the parts of the body that go through the most stress and strain from playing golf.
The El Corredor Fitness Center features state-of-the-art exercise equipment to help keep you in shape for your next round.
Location
Mission Resort + Club is located 45 minutes northwest of Orlando, making it a perfect retreat away from the crowds of the many attractions while still being a short distance to enjoy the same attractions should you choose.
On Site Activities
More than just a golfer’s paradise, one of the best features of Mission Resort + Club is that there is so much to do onsite that you never have to step foot outside the resort during your stay.
After a round in the Florida sun, unwind and cool down at the pool with a snack and drink from the La Chiquita Cabana.
Up for some tennis? There are 6 clay and 2 all-weather courts that are also lit for evening play. The Marina del Rey offers fishing and boat rentals on Lake Harris. Or, take your shot at trap and skeet shooting at the range at the resort.
Post Round
The courses share a joint clubhouse and the Nicker’s Clubhouse Restaurant sits inside, offering casual dining for lunch with a menu including burgers, sandwiches, and salads. There is also a fully stocked bar and several big screen TV’s.
Did You Know
Mission Resort + Club is a smaller resort that embodies the family-owned spirit it was built on. The resort is inspired by founder Nick Beucher’s nearly 1,400-mile horseback journey through Mexico in 1939, featuring the Spanish Colonial architecture he saw and adored on his trip.
Our View
The signature hole is the par-5 17th hole at El Campeón known as “Devil’s Delight.” Golfers are required to play through a double dogleg before facing a tree in the middle of the fairway. Once around the tree, golfers will need to get their shot over bunkers and a lake onto the sloping green.
Golf courses at Mission Resort + Club
El Campeón Course
El Campeón is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida, having been built in 1917. Today, El Campeón is regarded as one of the best courses in Central Florida, having been ranked the #9 best course layout in the US in 2016 by GolfAdvisor. The course features undulation changes atypical of Florida, with up to 85 feet of elevation changes. Mature pine and magnolia trees line the fairways and great natural wildlife can be seen throughout the round.
Las Colinas Course
Las Colinas was built as a perfect complement to El Campeón, its sister course at Mission Resort + Club. The course is an inland links-style that features wide fairways but demands precise shot placement. Las Colinas is Spanish for “The Hills” and the name fits it perfectly with the rolling hills throughout the fairways and sloped greens. Similar to El Campeón, the course is void of any houses, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful landscape and wildlife this course has to offer.
