Classic Club

Located in Palm Springs, California, the Classic Club is widely regarded as one of the best golf clubs in the area, with its fantastic Arnold Palmer designed golf course playing host to many prestigious tournaments including the PGA TOUR’s Bob Hope Desert Classic three times.

The Classic Club has an array of excellent facilities which guests can make use of including a state-of-the-art driving range, putting green, short-game area and practice bunker. The Classic Grille is the onsite bar and restaurant, with a welcoming atmosphere, fresh food, ice-cold drinks and outdoor seating.

Classic Club Golf Course overview

Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course at the Classic Club is one of the finest in the Palm Springs area with over 5,000 Pine, Pepper & Olive trees, 30 acres of lake & water features, and 14 stone bridges. It measures in at 7,299-yards par-72 from the championship tees, although don’t be put off as a number of other tees are available to make the course accessible to all levels of golfer. A unique feature of the course has to be its elevated tee boxes which offer excellent views of the surrounding Coachella Valley for a complete and beautiful golf experience.

The course has won numerous awards and accolades over the years including the ‘Best Places to Play’ by Golf Travel Annual, ‘Top 10 Best Desert Courses’ by Desert Golf and ‘America's Top Golf Courses’ by Zagat Survey amongst numerous others. Plus, it is widely recognized as the host course to the PGA TOUR’s Bob Hope Desert Classic from 2006 to 2008.

Signature Holes

The signature hole at the Classic Club has to be the par-5 9th. Aptly named the Black Diamond, the hole is a monster 595-yards from the championship tees with tree trouble lurking to the right and a lake up the left-hand side. It requires three well-played shots to reach the elevated green which is highly undulating and offers no let up. Bad putts will be punished.
