North Course
at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa
San Diego, USA
Champions Course overview
The North Course at Omni La Costa is a links-style layout with wide fairways and minimal rough. The small, elevated greens require an accurate approach shot and the numerous deep bunkers guarding the greens can be daunting. The front nine works away from the resort into the California hillsides then runs back towards the property on the second nine.
Several large ponds are scattered throughout the course with a little stream running alongside holes 1-3 & 13-16. The course offers six sets of tees for all skill levels with the tips playing just under 7,200 yards.
Did You Know?
The North Course was formerly regarded as one of the most illustrious courses on the PGA TOUR as holes 1-3 and 13-18 were used to make up the composite course for the Tournament of Champions from 1969 to 1998, and then for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship for seven years from 1999.
