North Course

San Diego, USA
North Course overview
The North Course at Torrey Pines is in gorgeous La Jolla, California, just north of San Diego. Designed by William Bell Sr. in 1957, the North Course recently underwent renovations in 2016 led by Tom Weiskopf. The result of these renovations was larger greens and fewer bunkers, helping to enhance the playability of the layout.
This picturesque venue measures over 7200 yards from the tips and forces players to contend tight, rolling fairways and fair but challenging greens. The front and back nine were switched in 2016 so players could end their round right on the Pacific Coastline. A beautiful golf course littered with history; it is no surprise the PGA TOUR uses the North Course as part of the Farmers Insurance Open each year.
Signature Holes
The signature hole on the North Course at Torrey Pines is the par-3 15th. Playing 202 yards from the back tees, the 15th offers spectacular views of La Jolla and the Pacific Ocean. A front bunker protects the green which slopes severely from back to front. Players do not want to miss long on this scenic hole.
