McDowell Mountain Golf Club

Located just 12 miles northeast of Scottsdale is the McDowell Mountain Golf Club. At the base of the McDowell Mountains, with views back down on the city, the golf club is one of the best in the state. The course has modern facilities including a modern pro shop, locker rooms, and an impressive patio that looks out over the driving range and practice areas. There is also Mesquite Grille which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features an indoor/outdoor bar, perfect for unwinding after your round.

McDowell Mountain Golf Club boasts modern practice facilities which include new practice putting and chipping greens, a larger teeing ground, and distinctive target features in the landing areas as well.

The par 72-course measures 7,118 yards from the tips and features Bermuda Grass fairways. The course was designed by Randy Heckenkemper and has picturesque views of the Mountains and desert landscape. The greens are TiffDwarf Bermuda Grass meaning they run true and the surrounding cactus and rocky terrain give the course a true Arizona feel.

Signature Holes

There are numerous holes you could pick at McDowell Mountain Golf Club however two stand out, the Par-5 9th- features a risk/reward dramatic dogleg left, split fairway, and up-hill approach shot that usually yields a makeable birdie opportunity. As well, the par-4 18th features a dramatic waste bunker in the middle of a hilled fairway that places a premium on driving accuracy.
