Overview

Adare Manor has been ranked the #1 resort in Europe and #5 worldwide by Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards. This majestic Neo-Gothic manor house set in 840 acres of sweeping parklands and cultivated gardens is the epitome of luxury.

Owned by the Earl of Dunraven and handed down through the decades, today’s Manor dates back to the mid-1800s and took more than 30 years to build. It wasn’t until the 1980s that the 7th Earl made the tough decision to sell the family seat due to lack of funds, resulting in the 5-star resort we see today.

Golf Courses

Originally designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, the world-class layout at Adare Manor reopened to much acclaim in May 2018 following a significant renovation by Tom Fazio. One of Ireland's finest parkland courses, golfers will be treated to an unforgettable golf experience at the 2027 Ryder Cup venue.

Accommodation

Adare Manor offers a mixture of beautifully furnished hotel rooms, lodges and cottages. In the Manor House itself is an extensive choice of classic double bedrooms that start at 460 square feet, all the way through to expansive suites that are more than double the size.

Close by and adjacent to The Carriage House are two three-bedroom storybook cottages (called Rose and Lavender) with fully fitted kitchens, and a selection of two and four bedroom Manor Lodges that can accommodate up to four and eight people respectively, each fitted with a kitchenette, dining room and very comfortable living room.

All forms of accommodations at Adare Manor are beautifully decorated with the finest furnishings and amenities.

Restaurant & Bars

The Oak Room is a fine-dining Michelin star restaurant that was the original family dining room situated in the heart of the house. A handsome oak-panelled room that serves the best produce from the four corners of Ireland.

The Drawing Room is the ideal spot for a tranquil interlude, serving light meals and refreshments by day, and champagne and cocktails by night. Overlooking the formal gardens and flooded with natural daylight, it would be easy to miss the magnificently restored ceiling with its golf leaf and details of clustered shamrocks, which casts a glow of opulence over this magical room.

The Tack Room is in the basement of the Manor House and was the servant’s hall, where house staff would gather for meals and socialize, in the days of the Dunravens. With the original limestone floor and a green marble bar, The Tack Room is the perfect end to an evening at Adare Manor. Offers an extensive selection of whiskey sourced from the best producers internationally, bespoke cocktails and craft beers, along with a menu of tempting little bites.

The magnificently renovated Carriage House, located a three minute walk from the Manor, offers a family friendly art deco chic restaurant serving the best of Ireland’s locally farmed produce in a stylishly relaxed atmosphere. The Carriage House Bar is also a wonderful gathering place and the bustling social heart of the hotel. Here you can enjoy light bites, bar snacks, fine wines, craft beers, and cocktails in a smart, lively, and relaxed atmosphere.

Spa & Leisure

Leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness room, and steam room. The Spa is extensive, with treatments centered around trees that held a profound position in Celtic mythology and remain powerful symbols of our connection to the earth. Willow, Oak, Ash, and Birch, which respectively represent Harmony, Balance, Renewal and Rebirth, are infused into the multitude of treatments on offer.

Location

Adare Manor is located in southwest Ireland just 20 minutes from Limerick and 35 minutes from Shannon airport, which provides great international flight access.

On Site Activities

Other activities include horse riding, falconry, the Irish Gundog Experience, game shooting, fishing on the Maigue River, archery, cycling and historical tours of Adare Manor.
