Adare Manor Golf Course overview
The Golf Course at Adare Manor is set within the glorious 840-acre estate of one of Europe’s most spectacular manor house hotels. A Robert Trent Jones Snr design that opened in 1995 and subsequently improved by Tom Fazio, The Golf Course at Adare Manor has been chosen to host the 2027 Ryder Cup.
In a land that is known for spectacular links layouts, this is something completely different and equally breath-taking. With lush rolling terrain and mature tree-scaping, and the meandering River Maigue contributing to water coming into play on 14 holes, this is a strategic shot-makers course measuring over 7500 yards off the championship tees. 14 of the 18 greens are elevated and there is very little rough in play throughout this meticulously groomed turf, although that may change for the Ryder Cup.
Signature hole
Let’s hope that the 18th proves to be pivotal in the Ryder Cup as this is a fantastic risk-reward par-5 measuring 585 yards off the tips. If your drive is long enough then you have the option to go for the green in two. Whatever you choose you must avoid the River Maigue at all costs!
