Mid Pines Golf Course

Southern Pines, USA
Mid Pines Golf Club Overview
Designed in 1921 by the famous architect Donald Ross, the Mid Pines layout remains in its original shape to this day. Visually stunning, each hole is carefully crafted into the natural rolling landscape and winds its way through the huge pine trees that dominate the land.
Initially, the course was designed for friendly competition amongst members and guests of the club, however, in recent times it has hosted national competitions challenging some of the best in the game and ranking in the best courses in North Carolina.
Signature Holes at Mid Pines
Feature holes at Mid Pines include the short par-4 4th hole, just 330-yards in length but the approach is full of danger as you play to a green that falls dramatically on the right side. On the back-nine, the finish is excellent. The 17th is a doglegged par-4 and the 18th plays downhill off the tee but then slightly uphill for the second into the green which is back-dropped by the magnificent looking Mid Pines hotel.
