Mid South Course

Southern Pines, USA
Mid-South Club Overview
Arnold Palmer designed the course at Mid South Club in 1993 and it is one of his finest and ranks consistently in one of the best courses in North Carolina. Recent work in 2017 saw all the greens converted to Champion bermudagrass, making them as good as any in the area.
The course works its way through the towering pines. Wetlands, numerous lakes, and significant elevation changes are encountered throughout the 18-holes. They like to do things ‘big’ at Mid South – big greens, big fairways, big bunkers, and even big rocks like those sat in front of the 9th and 18th greens.
Signature Holes
The par-4 16th is often favored as the signature hole at Mid-South, with water coming into play, and with the approach shot, it is one of the visually most appealing on the course. The finishing holes on both 9s (the 9th and 18th) are also very unique in that they share a double-green.
