The Albany Hotel overview

The Albany Hotel is a small and friendly boutique townhouse hotel located in the heart of St Andrews, with 22 guest rooms of different sizes and layouts. Dating back to 1764, this delightful Georgian terraced house is privately owned, offering a very personal level of service.

The Garden restaurant serves a delicious and locally sourced Scottish breakfast, whilst the Bar Lounge is the prime place to spend your evenings sampling the extensive collection of Scottish whiskeys and beers available.

Golf Courses

This is the ‘home of golf’ with multiple world-class courses to choose from. Obviously, the Old Course is the big draw, however, the New, Jubilee and more recent Castle Course are arguably just as good if not better. Carnoustie and Kingsbarns are also close by, both of which need no introduction.

Accommodation

All 22 guest rooms have en-suite bathrooms, are comfortable and well-appointed, and are of differing sizes and layouts to suit all types of guests.

Restaurant & Bars

The Garden Restaurant, which opens onto a delightful walled garden and patio, offers a substantial breakfast menu – either continental or the full cooked Scottish breakfast. And after a hard day on the links, the Bar Lounge is the prime place to spend your evenings next to an open fire and sampling the extensive collection of Scottish whiskeys and beers available.

Location

The Albany Hotel is situated on North Street, which is one of 3 main streets in the center of St Andrews and could not be in a better location from which to experience the home of golf and other surrounding world-famous golf courses. Best international access is via either Edinburgh or Glasgow airports.
