Tampa, USA
South Course overview
Designed by Tom Lehman in 1999, the South Course at Lake Jovita is the original layout onsite. Measuring just under 7200 from the tips with six sets of tees available, this gorgeous parkland-style design is renowned for its variation and unique topography. Wide fairways keep the course playable to all golfers while undulating greens help to provide a challenge.
The 11th hole on the South Course has the largest elevation change in the state of Florida and offers picturesque views of the surrounding area. A layout that provides golfers with great value, the South Course is a highly recommended course in the Tampa area.
Signature Holes
The signature hole on the South Course at Lake Jovita Golf Club is the par-5 11th. This visually appealing hole features a 94-foot drop from tee box to the fairway, the largest elevation change in the state of Florida. The green is protected by a bunker to the left and water over the back, creating a very difficult approach shot.
