Packed with charm and history Seaview Hotel has long been considered Jersey Shore’s most iconic resort. 20 minutes from the bright lights of Atlantic City, it offers a quiet escape nestled in 670 acres of woodland on the edge of Reed’s Bay. Well-appointed guest rooms and suites, excellent dining, indoor and outdoor pools and two courses on property (that have hosted the best in the game) are all part of the attraction. May to mid-June and late August through September are the ideal times to visit for a golf vacation. With highs ranging from 70 to 80° F whilst avoiding the hotter and more humid peak of summer.
Golf Courses
Seaview is home to 36 holes of championship golf, the Bay and the Pines courses. The Bay is the annual host to the ShopRite LPGA Classic, and held the 1942 PGA Championship, won by Sam Snead. Also, on property is the 9-hole putting course The Turtle, named after the Diamondback Terrapins, that make the Bay Course their summer home.
Accommodation
Seaview offers a range of accommodation options amongst its 296 guestrooms and 16 suites. Restaurant & Bars
Seaview has three restaurants that range from casual pub fare to an exquisite Sunday Brunch (named one of the “100 Best in America” by OpenTable) which is served in the Main Dining Room.
The Coastal Grill stands on the original site of a farmhouse turned clubhouse and the floor tiles and brickwork from 1914 remain untouched. The menu offers ‘farm & ocean to table’ cuisine and it’s a setting that has seen some of New Jersey’s most colourful characters drink and dine.
The Lobby Lounge & Bar is the place to relax, with outdoor fire-pits and views of the Bay Course and Atlantic City skyline, it’s a great place to meet and unwind.
Spa & Leisure
Seaview Hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool for its guests to enjoy. Walking trails are also popular within the resort’s woodland environment that’s part of the New Jersey Pinelands, a forested area of over one million acres. If you’re looking for a night of bright lights, entertainment and casinos then Atlantic City is just 20 minutes from the hotel.

Bay Course
The Donald Ross-designed Bay Course runs along Reed’s Bay and has a true seaside feel reminiscent of many Scottish links courses. In 1942 it hosted the PGA Championship and is currently the annual home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Short by modern standards at just 6,300 yards but with the winds coming off the Atlantic Ocean, pot bunkers, fescue rough and small undulating greens it is a great test. Sea views are enjoyed on many holes making a day on the Bay Course a very enjoyable experience.
Pines Course
The Flynn and Toomey-designed Pines Course opened in 1929 making the Seaview Hotel a 36-hole property with two contrasting layouts. Unlike the Bay Course, the Pines is carved through the native New Jersey woodlands. Its tree-lined fairways demand accuracy from the tee and elevation changes, several doglegs and plenty of sand traps make it a great addition to the resort. At 6,800 yards from the back tees, it is the longer of the two courses, but multiple teeing options make it playable to all.
