The Bay Course overview
The Donald Ross-designed Bay Course runs along Reed’s Bay and has a true seaside feel reminiscent of many Scottish links courses. In 1942 it hosted the PGA Championship and is currently the annual home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
It can be considered a touch short by modern standards at just 6,300 yards but with the winds coming off the Atlantic Ocean, pot bunkers, fescue rough and small undulating greens it is a great test. Sea views are enjoyed on many holes making a day on the Bay Course a very enjoyable experience.
Signature Holes
Hole 2 really stands out on the Bay Course, a 432-yard par 4 that plays directly towards the Atlantic Ocean and can be severely impacted by the direction of the wind. Out-of-bounds to the right and fairway bunkers to the left make the tee-shot a challenge, with further trouble impacting a wayward approach to the green. A par here is often a great result.

Sam Snead won the 1942 PGA Championship on the Bay Course, the first of his seven Major victories.
