Golf Courses at The Gleneagles Golf Resort
With three championship golf courses, Scotland’s PGA National Golf Academy, and regarded as one of the great golf resorts of the world, golf is at the very heart of Gleneagles. There has been golf here for nearly a century, with the first course – The King’s Course – dating back to 1919.
Three 18-hole championship courses provide golfers with a unique choice and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The PGA Centenary is a Jack Nicklaus signature course and host to The 2014 Ryder Cup and The 2019 Solheim Cup. The King's and The Queen's courses are considered two of James Braid's finest creations offering a classic heathland and inland links test. The PGA National Academy Course is a 9-hole par 3 course available for more spontaneous golfing enjoyment for families and beginners.

Golf courses at The Gleneagles Resort
PGA Centenary Course
With five tee positions available on the PGA Centenary Golf Course, the track varies from 5,065 to 7,081 yards in length, making it one of the longest golf courses in inland Scotland from the back tees. Nicklaus designed this course using the best of his earlier experiences in course architecture to create a real gem. The PGA Centenary also hosts the Johnnie Walker Classic each year, and even more recently hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup, a testament to Nicklaus’ outstanding design and imagination.
The King's Course
A host of eight Scottish Opens in the past, the Kings Golf Course exudes quality through its well-maintained fairways and tightly clipped greens making for perfect playing conditions. However, the golf course is a serious test of a players’ ability, with subtle changes in green and tee elevation making club selection difficult but vitally important.
The Queen's Course
You need to play the Queens Golf Course to experience the true beauty of Gleneagles. Although not the longest of courses at 5660 yards the woodland setting mixes with moorland stretches to give players a truly unique golfing experience. Add to that the water hazards, ditches and lochans that frequently come into play and you’ve got a really enjoyable golf course that players of all levels will enjoy.
