Kings Course overview

One of James Braid’s greatest creations is the Kings Course at Gleneagles. The 6,471 yard Heathland was opened in 1919 and is an authentic course which offers an absorbing course which has players always coming back. With historic Scots names for the holes such as Blink Bonnie, explained as beautiful view and Deil's Creel the devils fishing basket. Every hole has its own personality, with the course providing more than just great golf.

Also, The King's is historic for hosting eight Scottish Opens known best for their well-manicured fairways and a serious test of ability

Signature Holes

A strong favourite for many at the Kings Course is the par three, Fifth hole. Standing at only 161 yards, 'Het Girdle' means hot griddle as the green is lengthy and narrow with a upward slope from front to back. A known tip is to leave it short, having an uphill putt to salvage whatever you can.
