Valderrama Arguably Spain's most iconic golf course, Valderrama in Sotogrande is frequently ranked amongst the best in Europe. This Robert Trent-Jones Senior course is renowned for its challenging design, pristine layout, and stunning tree-lined fairways. Most famously, Valderrama was the home of the 1997 Ryder Cup when Europe bested Team USA in a tight contest that ended 14.5 to 13.5.

Finca Cortesin Situated just down the road from Valderrama sits Finca Cortesin, another of Spain’s premier golf destinations and the home of the iconic 2023 Solheim Cup. Here, golfers can enjoy wide, expansive fairways, stunning mountainous backdrops, and even views overlooking the Mediterranean. Be sure to recreate your favourite shots from the Solheim, especially Emily Pedersen’s hole-in-one on the 12th.

PGA Camiral Stadium Course Located in the heart of Catalonia, between Girona and Barcelona, PGA Camiral is a first-class golf club with two of Spain’s best courses. The Stadium Course is the better of the two and is often thought of as a top 10 layout in Europe. There is a string of memorable holes here and the 6th is the pick of the bunch. Be prepared for old oak trees, evergreens, heather, and plenty of water!

Real Club El Prat Real Club El Prat is a stunning club situated just outside of the vibrant city of Barcelona. With history dating back over a century, it's one of Spain’s oldest golfing institutions, and with 45-holes on-site, one of the best, too! Visiting golfers should expect an old-fashioned members club with wide, plunging fairways, tricky run-off areas, and interesting bunker complexes.

La Reserva Adding to Valderrama and Finca Cortesin, La Reserva is another gem situated in the Sotogrande area. Having opened for play in 2003, La Reserva is a very new layout with a modern design that pays homage to the classic elements of golf architecture. Like a lot of courses in this area, the terrain makes use of the undulations of the neighbouring mountains and occasionally offers up views of the Mediterranean.
