Torrance Course overview
The Torrance Course at the Fairmont St Andrews is a Denis Griffiths and Sam Torrance design built-in 2001. Ranked amongst Scotland’s top 60 courses and used for Open Championship Qualifying, the Torrance is an outstanding clifftop layout with beautiful views of St Andrews Bay and the Auld Grey Toon.
Measuring over 7200 yards off the tips and constructed with many principles of links golf in mind, it is a great challenge that fits very comfortably amongst more famous names. Great coastal views coupled with fast running greens, strategically placed bunkers, elevation changes and wispy rough make this a fun and exciting course to play.
Signature hole
The 220-yard par-3 17th hole is a beauty, where the green is protected by a dry-stone wall and deep bunkers.
